| | Now THIS is a landmark of a game, taking influence from the less appreciated corners of Original D&D and giving it some OSR flavor to make it feel like original D&D from an alternative universe. It’s everything I like from the landmark booklets from 1974, but plussed up by leaning into the more weirdo elements that inspired the game. Everything from the layout, fonts used, original artwork and even the boxset you can purchase is a masterpiece. This game is a celebration of OD&D and the weirder parts that seem to get overlooked (Dinosaurs! Psionics! Rayguns!) that have unfortunately been pushed aside. There is even an original map inspired by the wilderness survival board game (as a separate product!) I’m extremely excited to have the creator driving all the way up to ArcaneCon to run the game. And in true OD&D fashion, his player cap is 10 players! So if you’re looking for something to play Saturday Afternoon at the convention, look no further than Barrows & Borderlands! |
